The Who isn't on tour but we have the next best thing. Lead singer Roger Daltrey is heading out on the road with a backing band to perform The Who's classic rock opera Tommy. Pete Townshend and the boys are busy with other projects but Townshend, who composed Tommy, gave his blessing to Daltrey to rework the original tunes with his band, which includes Townshend's son Simon on guitar. Townshend said that he would be there in the audience to see the act firsthand. Daltrey said that he lived to sing Townshend's work and that he was warming up his vocal chords in case Townshend wrote any new material for The Who. Keep your fingers crossed!
